My digital footprint just grows and grows.

2011

2011 is here!

Resolutions are to be early/on time, well prepared and otherwise follow the rules.

I look forward to putting together a 2010 slideshow and posting it here but have had some computer difficulties and instead of putting together a slideshow, ended up having to rescue as many pictures as I can since my main picture computer is on the fritz!

(this of course does not count towards on time/well prepared because of course it happened in 2010)

Goodbye 2008

Maybe it is a bit premature to say goodbye to 2008, but the end is just around the corner, and looking forward to 2009 and the rebound in the economy is one of the things that keeps me going.

It will be a more joyous Thanksgiving and Christmas season for the blessings of friends, family and good health.

Whatever comes our way give us the perseverance that our grandparents had to learn in the 30's.

Hello 2008

So what on earth do I need this blog for if I have my other one? I haven't exactly figured that out yet, but this one is all me so I definitely want to keep it around.

January is here. Its cold. I'm trying to pull myself out of vacation mode and back into work mode. I'm trying to get a few things in my life more organized and squared away. My husband is trying to lose some weight and started tracking his calories. I still have wedding thank you notes to send out. My house is a complete disaster.

Thank you everyone who spent time with me this last holiday season, it was truly a good time!

October Goal

I had a goal in October to complete 25 of my thank you cards. I have not completed a single one!

I guess I do have 3 nights left, but tonight and Wednesday are booked. Anyone want to come do Thank You cards with me on Tuesday?

Preview of Nov goals... I would like to

1. Do another 25 thank you notes
2. Print up Halloween Pictures from past years and make a Halloween photo album.
3. Take wedding prints and put them in my CM Photo Album. Do a bit of scrapbooking to make it all look nice.
4. Help Brandon to make our wedding books online.

To sum up.

Description of my last 10 years...

Went to UND right after HS, started out in Mechanical Engineering.
Failed a few classes and switched majors to Computer Science. Did a couple of internships with Unisys a computer company in Minneapolis.
Met my Fiance in Spring of 2001, started dating by April. He moved to Rochester MN in the fall taking a job with IBM. Graduated in December and after a few months of job searching in Grand Forks decicded to bite the bullet and move in with him here :)
After nearly a year of job searching ( a dark sucky time in my life) I got a job at IBM as well, but just as a contractor, so the pay is not quite as well, but its a job. Been doing that ever since.
Brandon and I bought a house together and are now 1.25 months away from our wedding!

I typed this up to a friend from years past... and thought it would be a great little paragraph to share with ... well whoever knows about this blog.

Sad News Story

I did not read enough of this article to find out what could be done about this... but it seems to have some pretty serious implications for the future of the worlds health.

News

Lots new has been going on. Looking forward to getting some of this wedding planning squared away.

Ive been back to ND for 3 weekends and christmas the last couple months, and its been nice to see family so much.

Now back to the business of working to make dough.

Driving to ND

Soon, very soon I will be in a car heading back, once again, to ND.

Its been awhile since I have seen Brandon's family and I am looking forward to that.

I'm not looking forward to trying to stay on my diet while I am there! I don't want to blow it completely, but already the list of items I have decided to pack so that I can stick on my diet is astounding! Cereal, milk, diet cafiene free pop, chicken breast, lunch meat, low calorie break, fruits like strawberries and bananas, Healthier butter, simply fruit sugar free fruit spread, rice cakes...

Its going to be an interesting hour between 4 and 5 as I shop for some last min grocery items, try to get home, pack and be ready to drive at 5.
